POC (Point of Control)
Trader's Glossary · Profile and auction
Definition. The price level where the most volume traded in a given period. The “fairest” price of that period.
How it works
In the volume profile, the POC is the longest bar. It marks where buyers and sellers were most willing to trade.
Example
The previous day's POC is often a reference point in the next session: the market trades around it, tests it or clearly moves away from it.
What to watch out for
The POC isn't a line price must bounce off. It's information about where acceptance was greatest.

How I trade
A real market. I trade futures contracts on the regulated CME exchange in Chicago, with one central order book. Not CFDs, and not forex with a MetaTrader broker that sets its own prices.Professional tools. Order flow, footprint charts, the order book (DOM), volume profile and delta in Sierra Chart – the tools professional futures traders use.Paid, real exchange data. I pay for data straight from the exchange, trade by trade. Every number, chart and statistic I show comes from actual trading, not from one broker's tick volume.
Hetman Capital Club
See it on a live market
In Hetman Capital Club, every day from Monday to Friday, I show live how these concepts work on Dow Jones futures: a daily plan before the session, order flow and the volume profile during it, and a recap after the close. Plus the Order Flow from Scratch course (35 lessons) and the Atlas of 65 cognitive biases. The Club is in Polish.
