CME Globex

Definition. CME Group's electronic trading platform, where index futures including MYM are traded. It has been running since 1992.

How it works

Orders from participants all over the world go into a central order book, where they're matched by price and time priority. That's why index futures trade almost around the clock.

Example

While it's night in Europe, Dow futures still trade on Globex, though with less liquidity than in the regular session.

What to watch out for

Always check trading hours, breaks and holiday rules in the current CME calendar.
